Today Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology, Nambur organized a Health Camp in its adopted village Gollamudi under the aegis of its National Service Scheme (NSS-Wing) and National Cadet Corps (NCC). In this regard Sri Vasireddy Vidya Sagar, Chairman of VVIT, informed that VIVA, VVIT institutions have adopted four nearby villages and organizing several development activities for the welfare of the society.
In this regard, the VVIT-NSS and NCC wings have, conducted a Health Camp in collaboration with Raja Rajeswari Memorial Hospital, Pedakakani. Dr.Hanumantha Rao, of RRM Hospital along with his team performed the health examination of entire villagers and suggested several health tips. In the camp some general medicines were also distributed to the villagers.
Sri Sagar, in this regard stated that a good number of daily activities, periodic campaigns, health camps and flagship programs were planned and executed in a successful manner by their NSS-Wing every year. Sri Sagar reminded that several campaigns were conducted by Social Educational Trust In the nearby villages of Andhra Pradesh State’s new capital Amaravati, in the areas of rural health, rural development, skill acquisition, value education, house hold self sufficiency, waste management, water conservation management, energy conservation management, organic farming, digitization etc, in a well-organized manner to bring change in the lifestyle of every citizen of our society for their well-being.
He emphasized that the Social Educational Trust is morally & materially committed to conduct more event-based & issue-based activities for the welfare of the society in an efficient manner.
NSS Programme Officer Sri Lakshma Reddy, in this regard informed that, VVIT’s NSS-Wing always devoted towards the achievement of its objectives and has received several awards from the AP State Government and other Prestigious Societies for conducting numerous benevolent and social welfare programs. He said the institute now has 2000 NSS volunteers participating in various programs throughout the year.
NSS-Programme Officer Sri Konda Lakshma Reddy, NSS Officer Lt.Dr. A.Srivani along with their students participated in this camp and motivated the villagers on healthy life styles.
