Class Work for the Fresh Engineering Students for the Academic Year 2017-18 was inaugurated at Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology today in the college auditorium amidst the gathering of students and their parents. Students from first year along with the Chairman and other members of the College lit the traditional lamp to mark the inauguration of the class work for the academic year 2017-18. On this auspicious day, VVIT music club members started with a prayer song and VVIT dance club members, demonstrated their performance in cultural dance.
Sri Vasireddy Vidya Sagar, the Chairman of the college said that VVIT has emerged as the top college in the state. He added that still many milestones have to be achieved. He affirmed the parents that the college functions as a student-centric institution. He assured the students that the college will provide every such provision that helps them to become a complete student.
Mr M Sree Krishna the Joint Secretary of the college thanked the students and parents for choosing the college. He advised the students they should be focused right from the First year of their engineering. He informed the students and parents that the college is associated with Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation for enhancing the employability of the students. He said that students joining VVIT enjoys the advantage of working in the Centre of Excellence established by Siemens.
Dr Y Mallikarjuna Reddy, the Principal of the college said that college conducts several curricular and co-curricular activities for the development of the students. He also assured that the institute will build every student as a Professional Engineer with all round development, as their parent believed.
Dr Kumara Swamy, Dean of Academics opined that students should be given sufficient freedom to pursue their fields of interest in Engineering. Dr.Swamy also stated that it’s a completely professional institute with great understanding towards the needs of its stake holders.
Dr.Raghu Ram, Head of the Department of Sciences & Humanities, said that, students can build brilliant careers if they can focus on their studies right from the first day of their college. He also emphasized on the importance of every Branch of Engineering and the significance of soft skills to achieve the aims of students.
