ssSri S.R.K. Paramahamsa

Squadron Leader (Retd) S.R.K. Paramahamsa is Joint Secretary (Administration) and Professor of Electronics and Communication Engineering in Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology (VVIT), Namburu, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. He received B.Sc degree from Andhra University in 1961, B.E. (Electrical Technology) from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1964 and M.Tech (Radar Systems Engineering) from I.I.T. Kharagpur in 1974.

Sqn. Ldr. (Retd) SRK Paramahamsa worked as a Commissioned Officer in Indian Air Force for 13 years. While in Air Force he gained rich experience on MF beacons,HF Wireless Telegraphy & Radio Telephony systems, VHF ground-to-air and air-to-ground Radio telephony systems, Ground Control Approach and Precision Approach Radar operating in X-band, Early Warning Radar systems, Conical Scanning Radar systems for air-to-air missile interception and Ground-to-Air guided missile systems used in air defence. He received commendations from Air Chief for making No. 68 G.W. Squadron, AF to stand First among all missile squadrons of India in 1969.

After receiving voluntary retirement from Air Force in 1979 he joined as Reader in Electronics and Communication Engineering in AU College of Engineering. He was the founder Principal of RVR & JC College of Engineering, Vignan Engineering College, Vadlamudi, St. Ann’s College of Engineering, Chirala. He also worked as Principal, K L College of Engineering.

Prof. S.R.K. Paramahamsa is interested in Green Technologies. Presently he has established a Mushroom Unit under Green Club in VVIT for educating the local farmers to profitably convert agricultural waste into high quality protein. He is also interested in collecting rain water and converting into mineral water using sterilization of rain water by solar thermal energy at 121° C with the help of off-set focus parabolic reflectors developed by Mr. Ghadia using German know-how. The salient features of this project are the absence of RO and UV systems.
