Introduction

 

The objective of the department is to provide high quality education in Master of Computer Applications at the Masters level. The academic atmosphere at the department is a rare blend of modern day technical skills and the traditional emphasis on imparting knowledge through quality education.

 

Vision

 

The department of Computer Applications aims to generate groomed, technically competent and skilled intellectual professionals specifically from the rural are of Andhra Pradesh to meet the current challenges of the modern computing.

 

Mission

 

  1. Providing a string theoretical and practical background across the computer science discipline with an emphasis on software development.
  2. To provide technical solutions in the field of IT and local society.
  3. To provide need based quality training in the field of IT.
  4. Empowering the youth in rural communities with computer education.
  5. To provide students with tools to become productive, participating global citizens and life-long learners.

 

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

 

The Programme Educational Objectives of the Master of Computer Applications programme are given below and are numbered from PEO1 to PEO5.

 

PEO-1:  To prepare the student to meet the requirements of professionals for Computer applications in different sectors.

PEO-2: To develop the ability among students to plan analyze, design, code, test, implement & maintain a software product.

PEO-3: To promote students capability to set up their own enterprise in various sectors of Computer applications.

PEO-4: To provide students with basic computer programming skills & problem solving skills.

PEO-5: To experience the students in finding solutions to real life application involving technical, managerial, economical & social constraints which is provided through laboratory work, industrial assignment & projects.

PEO-6: To provide greater exposure to different emerging technologies.

PEO-7: To provide students with greater input of management education & professional communication skills.

 

Program Outcomes (POs)

 

 a. Post graduate students are capable to work in leading computer application areas of different sectors such as
