Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology is hosting a 1-week faculty training program on JAVA Fundamentals and JAVA Programming from today by Oracle Academy under the direction of Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Association (APITA).

This is a 1-week workshop and resource persons from Oracle Academy are training the trainers in an innovative technology enhanced learning mode. Every workshop conducted, has been putting forth the emerging technological trends unveiled & explored in a comprehensive manner for making the aspiring engineering Faculty those working in the stereotyped teaching-learning techniques to adapt to the technology enhanced visual simulation of fundamental to critical concepts of Core Programming skills. Sri Sagar informed that this workshop will internally strengthen and tune the engineering faculty to smoothly face the upcoming teaching-learning challenges in the transformation of engineering education, as envisioned by the Oracle Academy’s operating brains.

Chief Guest & Resource Person of this 1-week workshop, Smt Priyam Das, Senior Trainer, Oracle Academy, Mumbai, revealed that every participant must imbibe all the knowledge from this workshop and make the workshop fruitful. She also advised all the participants to continue their practice in the technologies rendered in this workshop to become skillful and befit for the challenging teaching job roles.

Another Chief Guest of this inauguration Sri M.SatyaRatnam, District Development Manager, APITA, congratulated all the participants for enrolling in the workshop by choice and wished them to become master in that technology. Sri Ratnam said that AP state government under the prophetic vision of Hon.ble’ Chief Minister Sri Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, has a consistent plan to conduct even more events as this, to enlighten the young and enthusiastic teaching fraternity in this state to become highly skilled and make in Andhra Pradesh as a Knowledge hub. Sri Ratnam also commended the efforts of VVIT for maintaining conducive environment for this workshop.

AP State Government, firmly committed to the making of AP as a knowledge hub through this kind of workshops which will enhance the skills of every engineering educator by right-sizing their skills. VVIT is chosen as the venue for this coveted workshop where experts from Oracle Academy will train the engineer faculty in several promising teaching learning and Development technologies of near future. Sri Sagar informed that, with the same zeal the current workshop is offering courses in Java Fundamentals and Java Programming in an evolutionary way by introducing ALICE and GREENFOOT kinds of Tools for the visual simulation of various critical concepts of that programming language for the Computer Science Engineering Educators.

VVIT’s Jt.Secretary Sri M.Srikrishna, in this regard expected every engineering teacher to become self-sustaining and to participate in the revolutionary teaching-learning skills development with every available source of technology now a days. He also advised all participants to inculcate the habit of lifelong learning and expected them to apply the knowledge acquired here in this workshop to share with their peers and students in their institutions to carry forward this teaching-learning and development technology revolution through this technology enhanced learning. 

Dr.Y.Mallikharjuna Reddy, Principal of the host institute, VVIT, in this regard, informed that this kind of workshops and Faculty Improvement Programs will serve the participants to fulfill their thirst for advanced technology, which is a bread winning and propping up for their teaching profession. He commended the efforts of AP State Government through APITA in this missionary zeal to transform the state into a hub of highly skilled knowledge manpower by rigorously trainings like this. Dr. Reddy, also advised the participants to apply the knowledge acquired through these workshops to address the bottlenecks in engineering education especially for the benefit of every kind of student.

This workshop will be conducted for 5-days from 07th August to 11th August 2017 and around 50 CSE, IT & MCA faculty members from different Institutions were participating in this workshop. APITA & ORACLE shall provide certificates also for the participants who clear the online assessment tests conducted through the training process.
