Leading Automobile Manufacturing Giant Company Kia Motors team visited the Siemens’ Centre of Excellence established by Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation at VVIT.
A team comprised of Sri Tae Hwa Kim, Head of Training & Development Wing, Sri Sachin Mnakar, Manager, Sri Hyungsuk Yoo, Head of Human Resource Department, Sri Venkat Kumar, Manager accompanied by APSSDC Officials visited the Siemens’ Centre of Excellence, in the process of assessing the resources available in Andhra Pradesh for their proposed establishment of Kia Motors India at Ananthapur.
The sources informed that the Kia Motors company is planning to enter the Indian market between 2019 and 2022. Kia plans to offer 3 vehicles, including a mid-size SUV and a compact sedan. The company is currently building a production facility on a Greenfield land in Ananthapur district, Andhra Pradesh. The expected annual production capacity is 300,000 units. Kia Motor's is the first manufacturing facility in India, to help strengthen the company's position in the fifth largest global automotive market. Kia has committed investments to the tune of $1.1billion to develop operations in India. In the pursuit of expansion of its global automobile business, Kia motors responded positively to the call of Hon.ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who is determined to provide huge row of jobs for the unemployed skilled youth of AP. The Kia Motors Team, which is following the World’s top most Automobile Company Hyundai, after observing the basic amenities and advanced laboratories of VVIT established by Siemens Centre of Excellence, expressed their happiness. Mr.Tae Hwa Kim, much-admired the establishment of Siemens’ Centre of Excellence Laboratory facilities provided by the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC).
